Services and Worship
Holy Communion
This Service is the heart of our community life. Our main celebrations are on Sundays with a said service and sermon at 8:00am and a 10:30am service with sermon, hymns and other music. From August through May our choir leads the music every other week at this service.
On Wednesdays we hold a Holy Community with a Healing Rite. This service is at 10:30am throughout the year and is followed by a Bible Study. August through May we also have a healing service at 7:00pm followed by Choir Practice.
For special services and major festival please see our calendar.
Baptism
Baptism are held as part of our Sunday services. As Episcopalians, we believe that Baptism is a sacrament for all people, no matter what age. For more information, please contact the Rector.
Wedding
St. Luke’s is a wonderful place to be married. The Church is a modern building that reflects our architectural heritage and seats 250. Our historical Chapel seats about 50. We can also provide our education building for receptions.
In accordance with Diocesan Policy, in order to be married at St. Luke’s, one of the couple must member of the Episcopal or other Anglican Church. Before any other plans are made, it is important to contact the Rector.
Funeral
Funerals or Memorial Services are arranged with the Rector.
We also have a historic cemetery which was created by the original settlers of North Merritt Island and founders of St. Luke’s. The earliest graves date back to the late 1800s. The cemetery is now an independent nonprofit organization administered by St. Luke’s vestry as trustees. Any member of an Episcopal Church in Brevard County may purchase a plot. For more information please contact the Church Secretary.
